Is EmSculpt safe for patients with metal tubal ligation clips?

If you have metal clips from a tubal ligation, and you had cramping in the area with the EMSculpt treatment, I would not recommend having any further treatments. Metal in the treatment area is a contraindication. Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa

Thank you for your question. Metal is a contraindication for EmSculpt, especially when close to the treatment area. I would not suggest continuing with EmSculpt since you are having pain and since the metal is in close proximity to the treatment area. 

 Thank you for your question. I don’t recommend having an Emsculpt treatment with metal tubal clips. The HIFEM technology contradicts with metal implants. Please make sure you seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.

If you have metal clips on your Fallopian tubes, and are experienced cramping during and after treatment, I would not recommend you to continue on with the Emsculpt treatments.
