What's your opinion on this Emsculpt protocol?

Went for Emsculpt consult and I have some questions about there protocol. Need help to see if it’s necessary. Went in for emsculpt consult and they said it’s 3200 for 4 sessions and it will be done in 2 weeks. They also said i need to come in every month for one touch up for an additional 2400 for entire year. Is that one session every month necessary after the initial 4 sessions. Am I getting a good price/deal

Hi Jaj,
The initial treatment price is the standard price of $800 per treatment session.  The additional 11 treatment sessions for $2400 works out to $218/session which is a good price.  For the best deal, ask your provider to give you the $218/session treatments first...just kidding.  There has not been studies to document the difference between sticking to just 4 sessions vs. the additional monthies for a year.  I would imagine that the more treatments, the better the result.  Some practices will offer their patients an Emsculpt "membership" plan which allows them to have unlimited treatment sessions.Good luck and be well.

Interesting, I love the device and want people to enjoy its lifestyle benefits. We charge less than that typically and I tell people if they exercise they dont need to come back. If people want to come back we give them customer appreciation prices. You definitely dont have to buy more than 4 sessions.

The pricing seems in line with most places in America. However, we don't have any data regarding the maintenance treatments. The early studies were followed to show that the improvement in muscle and the reduction in fat was still present at 6 months, but we all know that muscle will decrease in size over time if not exercised, so most EMSculpt providers create a maintenance plan. Yes, it's a great deal so get it before the deal is gone.   If you think about it, 10 sessions at $800 is $8000.  If you can get it down to $2400 and you can afford it,  do it.   I can tell you after having done 10 sessions each time you get a little more tightness.

The protocol you were recommended for the initial treatment is correct, and is derived from studies done by the manufacturers. 4 treatments over 2 weeks (with at least 2 days between each) gives optimal results. $3200 for 4 treatments is fairly standard pricing (this is what we charge). We typically recommend a single maintenance treatment every 3-6 months at a reduced rate to keep up your results. Consult with your expert regarding your particular needs to determine the best treatment and maintenance plan.

Hello and thanks for your question. The protocol outlined for EMSCULPT is correct, in part. Manufacturer recommendations based on clinical studies state 4 treatments spaced 2-3 days apart over 2 weeks time. A follow up treatment may be performed in 6 weeks to 6 months. Monthly treatments thereafter may help you to achieve your goals, but may not be necessary. The pricing you've been quoted is accurate. The standard protocol is 4 sessions in 2 weeks. Follow up treatments are 1 every 3-6 months. The caveat is that optimal treatment protocols might change as we learn more about the technology. $3200 for 4 treatments is fairly standard pricing. Studies have shown continued improvements after the initial 4 for at least 6 months.

According the company that manufactures the Emsculpt device, the following is true: first, four sessions spaced at least 48 hours apart, and over a two week period are done; followed by maintenance sessions at least two more times at the 3 month mark. Thank you for your question. EMSCULPT is an amazing technology that is approved for building muscles at the abs and glutes(buttock) as well as fat reduction at the abdomen. One EMSCULPT session of 30 min is pure 20 000’s supramaximal localized contractions. The price of 3200$ for a package of 4  is standard. 4 sessions are needed at the beginning, each session spaced 2-3 days apart. It is not necessary to do the maintenance package. Results have been shown to last up to 6-12 months. However, the maintenance program is highly recommended if you want to maintain, and possibly improve further, the great results you will have with EMSCULPT.
