Hi legallyblond502; The results you see are potentially achievable with modern rhinoplasty techniques but it depends on the composition and size of your nose. These days, the results you see are partly due to the reduction of structure but not as much as you would think. It is the way the cartilage structure is reshaped to provide a smaller but more natural and stronger framework on which the skin is draped. In the past, often too much structure was removed, not reshaped, which resulted in a "surgical nose" that looked overdone and pinched. Good results in rhinoplasty require both artistic and technical talent. Our office has the Vectra 3D imager which allows you to look at your potential results; but it is an old fashioned consultation and examination with your plastic surgeon to see what is realistic and what will meet your expectations. The nose in each individual is unique and personal which makes nose surgery so much fun, artistically speaking. Communication with the doctor is key to establish the best result. BTW: I think that Legally Blonde is a classic. Reese Witherspoon does such a good job in it.
Yes, these results are realistic and plausible. Make sure you see a rhinoplasty expert with plenty of experience with ethnic patients. Good luck.
Yes, it is possible to achieve rhinoplasty results like this. Leona Lewis has relatively thin skin which is beneficial in acheiving a more refined tip. It's important to avoid over resecting the nasal cartilage as that can lead to a pinched look and trouble breathing. You can check out my web reference link below to read more about how rhinoplasty can be used to refine the tip.
Based on this one set of photos - the hallmarks of this patient's cosmetic result include narrowing of the dorsal aesthetic lines and refinement of the nasal tip. Both of the changes are possible with standard open rhinoplasty techniques.
These type of results are certainly possible. But in many cases it goes beyond just trimming and reshaping cartilage. It also depends on whether or not the skin requires thinning to achieve more definition - especially so in the ethnic rhinoplasty patient.
It is certainly possible to reduce the width of the nose. The key is to do it in a way that the nose still looks natural and breathing remains intact. You can see the example on the link below
A result like this can be obtained with cartilage removal, suturing the cartilage remnants to narrow the tip, and possible soft tissue envelope trimming along with alar base reduction and bridge narrowing. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA
While it is possible to get results like these, it's also important to have realistic expectations with your existing anatomy that is present. Thick skin can be an impediment to seeing the full result of a rhinoplasty. Virtual rhinoplasty/ computer imaging software is available on our website, along with our extensive rhinoplasty photo gallery to give yourself an idea what can be accomplished with a rhinoplasty procedure.
Rhinoplasty results like the one shown are possible. A skilled rhinoplasty surgeon can assess the thickness of the skin, the necessary manuevers needed, and more importantly patient expectations which are all critical to achieving an astounding result.
Her result is not unusual and should be accomplished given the approriate techniques. We have several paients in our practice with similar results.
Thanks for an interesting question.Yes this is possible.Human body is stretchable if it's put to stretch repeatedly.Wish you good luck in trying to stop bad habbits.
In addition to other answers (surgeon cost, anesthesia, facility), if you have any degree of nasal obstruction, your insurance may pick up part of the cost. You need to undergo an evaluation by a specialist to determine this. At the end of the day, your decision should be driven by surgeon's...
A long philtrum can be reduced with a lip lift. Lip lifts are used to decrease the distance between the base of the nose and the upper lip, but it does not cause the lips to become more full. Please consult with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek.
