Hi legallyblond502; The results you see are potentially achievable with modern rhinoplasty techniques but it depends on the composition and size of your nose. These days, the results you see are partly due to the reduction of structure but not as much as you would think. It is the way the cartilage structure is reshaped to provide a smaller but more natural and stronger framework on which the skin is draped. In the past, often too much structure was removed, not reshaped, which resulted in a "surgical nose" that looked overdone and pinched. Good results in rhinoplasty require both artistic and technical talent. Our office has the Vectra 3D imager which allows you to look at your potential results; but it is an old fashioned consultation and examination with your plastic surgeon to see what is realistic and what will meet your expectations. The nose in each individual is unique and personal which makes nose surgery so much fun, artistically speaking. Communication with the doctor is key to establish the best result. BTW: I think that Legally Blonde is a classic. Reese Witherspoon does such a good job in it.
