How much would it cost for this subtle nose job? (photo)

Question

It's really just half a centimeter higher that i want my nose to be!! How much would it cost to shave the tip off just a bit?

Evan Ransom, MD, FACS · Answer

Rhinoplasty is a technically challenging and complex operation. In a sense, there is not such a thing as an "easy" rhinoplasty. The change that you are looking for, however, is definitely possible. This would require elevating the tip of the nose and reducing the bridge a little. Cost of rhinoplasty varies significantly around the country and even between surgeons. In the San Francisco Bay Area, rhinoplasty can range from $5000 to more than $10,000. Best of luck moving forward!#San Francisco Rhinoplasty

William Portuese, MD · Answer

The cost of a rhinoplasty is dependent upon the surgeon's fee, operating room fee, and the anesthesia doctor's fee. A half a centimeter is a significant change to the nose and this has not a subtle nose job. The cost of a rhinoplasty and our rhinoplasty photo gallery are located the link below

Toby Mayer, MD · Answer

A natural rhinoplasty for your nose involves refinement of not only the tip but probable narrowing of the bridge. I would need to see more pictures as described on our website to give you a better answer. The cost involves how much work needs to be done on the nose . choose a very experienced surgeon for the best results.

There are probably a couple of items you may want to address here. Rhinoplasty on the low end will be $5000.Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds
of rhinoplasties and rhinoplasty revisions each year. Then look at the
plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a
sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Kristina Tansavatdi, MD · Answer

Most rhinoplasty cases take a lot of preparation, planning and discussion with the surgeon. The surgery is not as simple as raising the tip. There are multiple maneuvers involved. One of them will likely require breaking the nasal bones and shaving down the hump. The cost depends on the skill and experience of your surgeon and what region of the country you are searching. The range can be from $5000 to 10,000 for surgeon's fees alone. This does not include the operating room fee and fee for the anesthesiologist.

Richard W. Fleming, MD (retired) · Answer

I would describe all nose jobs as "subtle" so the patient can achieve a natural result. Raising the tip and reducing the small hump of your bridge is a limited procedure and will cost $6,000-9,000 if that is what you decide to do after consulting with an experienced surgeon.
