How long would I have to wait for the rhinoplasty (open rhinoplasty, alar bass reduction, tip refinement, bone reduction) to heal until I can then get a bullhorn lip lift procedure?
Answer: Rhinoplasty and Lip Lift A rhinoplasty and bullhorn lip lift can be combined into the same procedure, especially with alar base reduction. However, if you have already had the rhinoplasty, I would wait about 4-6 months before doing the lip lift. Hope that helps. Gary Linkov, MD Lip and Nose Specialist Manhattan

Answer: How long after rhinoplasty can you do a lip lift? Hello,Thank you for your question. Rhinoplasty and lip lift can be performed at once under general anesthesia, if not it is better to wait at least 6 months for your body to rest after rhinoplasty so that the healing cells won't divide into two parts. Answer: Does a nose job change the shape of your face? You will get varying answers to your question. To avoid complications and get the best cosmetic result, I would recommend waiting 6 months after your open rhinoplasty.Keep in mind, that following the exact advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the proposed operative procedure with you and your parents may not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Rhinoplasty and lip lift Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. I recommend waiting at least months after rhinoplasty before having a lip lift. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
