Admittedly,  this may or may not mean anything.   I have noticed that the muscle can be in spasm and the buttock swollen for several weeks.  When the muscle is relaxed and not under tension, the buttock will appear rounder and shapelier.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Hi and welcome to our forum!The use of PRP to augment the "take" of fat grafting procedures has become popular over recent years with anecdotal reports of improvement, but to date there are no objective studies proving the efficacy of this technique.In general, after BBL, a fraction of the transplanted fat will not survive. That fraction may vary widely from 20-50%. Fat cells usually are not stimulated to multiply under these conditions.Thus, the size immediately after surgery will exceed the final result significantly.  15% of cosmetic surgeries may require a secondary touchup. The skin and soft tissues of the buttocks must redrape to accommodate the added volume of transplanted fatty tissue. Thus the buttocks may "shape up" over 3 months or so after the procedure.Continue followup with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
