How many units of Dysport for between eyebrows line? (Photo)

Question

How long does dysport last and how many units do I need to fill this line in between my eyebrows? Even when I'm not furrowing my brows, makeup sits in the line and it bothers me

Young R. Cho, MD, PhD · Answer

I would recommend starting with 60 units of Dysport. This would provide a very nice softening of the frown lines. I would also get reassessed in 2 weeks and if you are happy, then you know this dose works for you. If you feel like you still have frown lines, then you can increase the dose. If you get the desired look, it should last you 3-4 months.

David J. Myers, MD · Answer

Dysport lasts between 3-4 months generally. It usually takes between 40-60 units to alleviate the lines between your eyebrows. Be sure to visit a board certified dermatologist for a consultation and treatment.

Adam L. Basner, MD · Answer

Normally about 60 units of disport would be used. Of course your physician may determine that a different amount is more appropriate depending on your specific situation.

Stephanie Beidler Teotia, MD · Answer

This typically depends on the patient, but on average it is usually 50-60 units. Dysport, like other neurotoxins is likely to last about 3-4 months.

John Bitner, MD · Answer

I generally use around 60 units in the area. That is usually enough to soften the number 11 when you scowl and some of the horizontal lines at the top of your nose. The effects will last 3-4 months.

J. Jason Wendel, MD, FACS · Answer

Thank you for your question and a picture.A common dose for this area is 45-60 units.

To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed
and certified providers for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good
candidate and that it is safe for you to have the treatment.

I hope this helps.

Julia Ann Sullivan Miller, MD · Answer

A general rule of thumb when determining the amount of units is 20 units of Botox and 60 units of Dysport per muscle action group. This being said, to treat the lines in between the eyes would require 60 units of Dysoport. If you also wanted to treat your forehead wrinkles, you would require 40 units. Hope this helps!

Kenneth D. Steinsapir, MD · Answer

Generally this needs between 10-25 units of BOTOX or Xeomin and approximately 27-75 units of Dysport. The effect of treatment is basically the same with all the cosmetic botulinum toxin products.

Jason Emer, MD · Answer

The amount of units depends on the consultation and what your goals are. "standard" amount is 20-25 U but I suggest seeing someone who is an expert to individualize your care. Best, Dr. Emer.

Josef Hadeed, MD, FACS · Answer
