if i wanted a facelift but I had already had fillers in my cheeks and botox around my eyes would i need to wait until this has worn off before having the facelift. Equally would I need to wait until worn off before having a consultation regarding potential facelift?
Answer: Fillers and Facelifts Facelifts reposition, tighten and remove muscle, fat and skin. Positioning these tissues is generally to the current degree of laxity in the deeper underlying tissues. The majority of the time, this shouldn't present any problems depending on what type and the amount of filler placed. I have performed thousands of facelifts and many have had filler in the mid face. Although this didn't cause any issues during the procedure, volume may need to be replaced with fat transfer or more filler as it normally dissipates. If there a significant amount of filler along the jawline it could preset an issue depending on the material. I recently had a case where there was a filler of unknown that was palpably firm and nodular along the jawline. Although it wasn't visible it appeared permanent and it limited the amount dissection and direction of the lift to not elevate it into a visible position. Although it could have been surgically removed, the defect that it would have created would then need to be addressed. Ultimately, the outcome was good but it was definitely a more challenging case.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Wait a Bit for Surgery, but not for Consultation I think you can have a consultation any time, even if fillers and BOTOX® were done recently. It takes 3–4 months for the effects of BOTOX to wear off, and for most fillers no more than 6 months for most of the filler to have disappeared. I think it is reasonable to proceed with surgery within that time frame, and if only modest volumes of filler were used, you could proceed with surgery even sooner. I have occasionally encountered filler during surgery, and it has not interfered with the result.

Answer: Facelift & Fillers No, there is no need to wait to have your consultation. Fillers often compliment facelift surgery and Botox really won't have any bearing. Make sure to see a surgeon with a lot of facelift experience. Best of luck.

Answer: Facelift It is not necessary to wait until fillers are completely resolved to pursue a facelift or a consultation. Volume from fillers can complement the results of a facelift when done before the surgery.

Answer: Fillers and facelift You can certainly be evaluated for a facelift at any time. the procedure should likely be done when the fillers have been metabolized or dissolved when possible. This would allow for the most precise result and the best tightening of the tissues. best regards
