Hello, Thank you for your question. While it may not be required to shave before your treatment, you may want too, just to be sure that you achieve your desired results. Reach out to your provider and ask them if they have a preference. Good luck!
Thanks Eric for your question! We do not ask patients to shave before dermal filler injections, generally speaking. Of course, there could be exceptions, but a short beard is usually not an issue. Good luck. Dr. Aldo
I don't routinely ask by patients to shave prior to dermal filler treatment. That being said, each injector has his/her own preferences and so I would speak with your injector.
Eric, thank you for your question. Injecting in the area of short beard typically poses no problems. Good luck with your procedure.
If its short- no you do not, if its long and obstructs your facial features, yes. For the best results we must accurately see your facial contours. The more 'naked' your skin the better the optical view. For male dermal fillers the chin should be 'angled', and in proportion to the sides of your lips. For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject...
Peau d'orange, or the skin of the orange, is a dimpling of the skin over the chin that can easily be relaxed with Botox, and only a small amount of units is needed. There are risks with all cosmetic treatments so see a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. The treatment will need to...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
You have a few options. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) and Sculptra can be used to augment the chin and improve jaw definition. This will allow you to try on the look before committing to a more permanent option like implants and/or fat. I recommend getting a formal evaluation wi...
