Fillers can be used to enhance your chin volume and also provide more jawline definition. Results can be immediate and last an average of 1 year. If you want more gradual, longer lasting results then you should consider a combination of Sculptra, Radiofrequency, and Ultrasound treatments for your jawline. Make sure you find an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
You have a few options. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) and Sculptra can be used to augment the chin and improve jaw definition. This will allow you to try on the look before committing to a more permanent option like implants and/or fat. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
You have very nice structure to your face and your chin is nice and masculine. If you would like to improve your jawline, I would suggest trying about two syringes of Voluma on each side of the face. This will add some width and square your jaw to a nice shape. Vouma is a filler that is meant to create volume and used against the bone. It can range from $850-$950 per syringe and lasts about 18 months to two years. All the best!
I think that fillers will not give you the results that you are looking for. You will need a lot of fillers to see the improvement you are looking for (~3 syringes) and you need to maintain it as fillers dissolve over time. Chin implant is a simple procedure that will give you long lasting results and more chin projection. I would probably lean towards fillers for the side of the jaw because implants in the angle of the jaw can be tricky. Schedule a consultation for more information and advice. Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing your question and photos. Yes, fillers can be used to improve jawline definition and to add volume to a recessed chin. I would probably recommend a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane Lyft. Typically, the results last 1 year or so.
It is certainly reasonable to use fillers to augment the chin after genioplasty. However, I would generally recommend waiting until the final result from surgery is visible, and once edema has completely resolved. Best wishes.
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
It is unusual for the pain to begin so long after injection. If there is filler still present in the area you can choose to have it dissolved with hyaluronidase. I recommend seeing your injector for an evaluation and treatment plan.
