Urgent! Indents on my head. Have I damaged any grafts? (Photo)

Question

I had a FUE Transplant done 8 days ago, whilst in the shower yesterday I lightly massaged the transplanted area. Majority of the scabs rubbed off however I am worried that I have damaged or removed some of the grafts. As you can see in attached pictures, there seems to be indents on my head, with redness and blood. Have I damaged this area and how to I treat this moving forward? Please help

If you have an "urgent" issue after surgery contact your doctor.  The Internet is not a place for "urgent" personal medical advice.  Indents, redness, and blood is not typical after 8 days.  You may have dislodged grafts.  It is unclear without an examination.

The indents being seen on the scalp are primarily looking like the scabs which have not been removed from the scalp. These should be removed very gently from the scalp by applying shampoo and moving your hand from back to front. But you have to be very gentle and make sure that you do not remove the grafts.

Is almost ever a good sign.  You may have dislodged the grafts too soon.  Usually 7 days is a safe zone.  I think its best to go in for a follow up with your doctor.

You have not done the correct washing so there is little to tell from the pictures you showed. An FUE is treated just
like a regular hair transplant with regard to the recipient area, but the donor
area has open wounds which require daily washing with soap and water. Within 3
days of surgery, you can resume full activities, heavy exercises if you wish.
The recipient area requires daily washes as well to keep the recipient area
free of crusts. I generally recommend the use of a sponge and supply my patient
with a surgical sponge to fill with soapy water and press on the recipient area
daily. By repeating this daily, all crusts can be washed off without any fear
of losing grafts. IF any crust are present, use a Q tip and dip it into soapy
water, and roll it on the crusts and that will lift them off without dislodging
them, but never rub them, just roll the Q tip on the recipient crust. I like to
see no evidence of any crusting in the recipient area and the crusts from the
donor area gone in 7-10 days with daily washing,.
