At this point it is too early to see what your final results will be, and the hair may just be beginning to grow back in after 1-3 months.  However, it would be unusual to see "small holes" or pitting where the follicles were implanted, and this may indicate that the grafts may have been implanted too deep.  I would suggest that you contact your doctor and voice your concerns.

If there are issue with healing after surgery, you should follow up with your doctor.  Everyone heals differently and most people should be back to "normal" within a month.  If you feel your case is different, it is always a good idea to contact your doctor for a recheck.

Your pictures are not the best but from what I can see there is both some pitting and poor growth.  2 months out is still a little early, so there may be some growth, but I suspect from the pictures that you have lost some of the follicles and may experience poor growth.  You should follow up with the doctor who did your surgery.  If you went out of the country, find someone close who can follow up with you.

but if you  picked a reputable full time hair clinic, that do almost all hair all the time, then your odds are good.  Nothing is 100% in medicine so maintain close follow up with the doctor.

If you are concerned about healing and the look of the recipient area, go back to your doctor and ask. The photos you showed do not do justice to your 'ugly duckling' comment so I can't judge if it is normal or not. At this point in time, everything should be healed and look almost like it did prior to the placement of the grafts.
