when we first got our machine I treated my own face and had similar issue, but believe it was due to hydration. I believe that in the absence of other issues (such as infection) your skin needs lots of hydration and is pulling from anywhere it can find. My eyes were really dry and I got tired more easily- That being said, drink more water and I love an epionce product -priming oil and found that great skin products and drinking a lot as well as using artificial tears really helped get me through.
Thank you for your question karon55. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. Recovery after such a treatment can take up to two weeks, or sometimes longer. For my patients I recommend using the Avene Thermal spray water and applying a thin layer of the Elta MD Intense moisturizer several times per day for the first one to two weeks after a treatment to speed up the recovery. Alternatives include Vasline and Aquaphor. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Dear KaronThank you for your question and very graphic photos. It does not look like there is any conjunctivitis or injury to the eyes but the eyelids have been treated so are potentially recovering. There should be NO soreness or pain looking at light. In my practice to have any issues with eyes is uncommon but the sensible thing to do would be to keep them clean with cotton wool balls soaked in cooled boiled saltwater. Squeeze the excess water then hold the ball in the inner aspect of the eye and wipe once outwards then drop in to the bin. Please contact with your provider, they may advise antihistamines. Good LuckKind RegardsDr Dinesh Maini
