While each device and technology is different, any patterns (sometimes described as net-like, grid-like, or lines) that are present on the skin immediately after laser resurfacing will typically improve (and usually resolve completely) with time. However, this is dependent on numerous factors, including depth of injury, the type of laser used, and most importantly, the technique and skill of the person performing the procedure. There are many techniques that can be used to minimize the risk of a noticeable pattern being present after the procedure.
