I have grid marks on my face from my CO2 laser treatment. Yikes!! How long will they last and is there anything I can do?

I suggest proper skin care at this time and ~8 weeks after the co2 laser to start non ablative treatments (clear + brilliant or venus viva), microneedling/PRP, sculptra to promote healing and more collagen production.  Best, Dr. Emer.

While each device and technology is different, any patterns (sometimes described as net-like, grid-like, or lines) that are present on the skin immediately after laser resurfacing will typically improve (and usually resolve completely) with time. However, this is dependent on numerous factors, including depth of injury, the type of laser used, and most importantly, the technique and skill of the person performing the procedure. There are many techniques that can be used to minimize the risk of a noticeable pattern being present after the procedure. The procedure should be performed by a surgeon who is highly-trained and experienced in laser skin resurfacing of the face.

The marks will typically gradually fade over two to six months depending on energy and your skin type. Discuss this with your surgeon.
