Can one remove alar batten grafts inserted into lower lateral cartilage/lining of nostril? They have made breathing problem worse

I had a septorhinoplasty to correct a deviated septum and post nasal drip (I am an opera singer). lateral cartilages inside the nostrils collapsing in toward the septum so that it was very difficult to breathe, smell or taste-- the airway. My surgeon cut my ear cartilage to create alar batten grafts which he inserted into the lining of each nostril to support the cartilage against further collapse. It has made the problem worse and can't breathe at all.
