Radiesse filler leaked out of nose, is this dangerous?

Hi I just got a non surgical nose job with Radiesse. When it was being filled it felt very weird at the tip like someone was putting a pipe up my nose. Straight after i could see some white paste coming out of my left nostril. i wiped it away and came home. I can feel a hardened bulb of filler inside my left nostril where it has leaked out. It is not in the right nostril and it is bothering me. is this dangerous?

Radiesse is an FDA-Approved filler that we use very frequently in our office to sculpt the contours of the face. Since we are a national center of excellence for filler reversal, we also encounter patients from other doctors' offices who wish to have Radiesse fillers removed for one reason or another. In our office, we employ a directed technique to visualize the filler material, if possible on ultrasound, and then use non-surgical methods to dissolve the filler or granuloma tissue using intralesional injections. There are many methods using a combination of enzymes, intralesional modulators of scar tissue, and Kenalog to help reduce volume and remaining filler. These techniques require meticulous attention to detail and can be performed at intervals of two to three weeks to achieve longterm effect.

That's really odd that has probably happen in all offices, the factor of the Radiesse coming out of your nose is because they broke the skin with the needle, you have nothing to worry about, BUT be careful, Radiesse should not be applied to nose. I've done it plenty of times, no side effects, but I apply it very carefully in a small dosis, so next time, try not to apply Radiasse:D.

Your description suggest that you found Radiesse inside your nostril which is never normal unless you inject it from inside. It is not unusual to see a droplet of Radiess coming out of the needle entry point or through the neighboring large pore. If you have no problems at this point, nothing may need to be done although you should notify your injector about the event. Good luck!

Under normal circumstances a small amount of filler can accidentally spill out through a needle hole. But it doesn't mean anything unless there are symptoms of an infection. If there's a problem you should always contact the treating physician. Good luck from New York City
