I had 1,5 ml of Radiesse done, split on both cheeks. I was incredibly happy with the results. Absolutely fantastic lateral placement and it made a HUGE difference, even though it was "only" 0.8ml in each cheek. Now about 10 days later, I can barely see a difference. I am well aware that swelling occurs, but now there is absolutely no difference anymore. I previously had fillers in my lips and it stays the same for over 18 months now and I am super happy. Why did Radiesse only last 10 days on me?
Answer
It is likely that not enough Radiesse was used to produce the results that you wanted. There normally is some immediate swelling with the injection, and this contributed to the amount of augmentation you were seeing. When this swelling resolved, it made your result less obvious. The Radiesse that was injected has not gone away but you most likely need more to obtain the amount of augmentation that you desire.

I am unsure your age or degree of volume loss with no pictures to go on so it can be difficult to fully answer your question. Many injectors will tell their clients that they absolutely need 2 syringes (1 syringe per cheek) to appreciate a difference. I know injectors who will even refuse to treat clients that only want to be treated with one syringe for this very reason. The product does not degrade quickly enough that it would have dissipated already but most likely one syringe was not adequate. Before and after pictures often can help and perhaps a follow up consultation to compare results may be helpful. I hope this helps!

I don't think that your Radiesse has dissolved. The more likely explanation is that you've simply gotten used to your appearance and you probably wish to have a more dramatic effect in which case you would need additional fillers. I would recommend that you look at your photographs before and after the treatment for your personal satisfaction. Good luck from New York City

It is impossible for the fillers to degrade after 8 days. Often there is lidocaine mixed with the Radiesse to make the injection more comfortable. That will be absorbed very quickly. There is also swelling from Radiesse that subsides in about a week. There is a carrier for the calcium hydroxyapatite that lasts for about 8 weeks and is absorbed. The spheres of calcium hydroxyapatite will stimulate collagen and that takes 3-4 months to appreciate. So, I would wait at this point for at least 4 months.
