Today I had a mini facelift under local anaesthetic and thought the results would be more subtle. It is obvious I have had a facelift, will this relax in a week when I'm due back to work?

Answer: Healing after a mini facelift RecoveryThis is way to early to telll how tight your faclift was done. With this #cosmeticsurgery patients usually feel some tightness, firmness under the skin, and moderate swelling & bruising during the first week. Most patients having a modified #facelift feel comfortable being out in public shortly thereafter, sometimes after a few days. It’s best to allow one to two weeks for healing from your #plasticsurgery.

Answer: Early results Hi Brackj, and congratulations on getting your mini facelift! Know that it is simply not possible to make an aesthetic judgement about the results of your surgery so soon after the procedure. You are in the acute stage when there is increasing inflammation and edema. While your may see considerable change over the first week, it is likely that your result will mature over months. Make certain that you follow up closely with your plastic surgeon for reassurance that your early postoperative appearance is expected. Often times, because of the changes and evolution of facial appearance over days to weeks, facial surgery may be more difficult emotionally than physically. Good luck with your recovery!
