Breast cysts, fibroadenomas, or fibrocystic changes do not automatically prevent breast augmentation or hybrid augmentation, but they should be properly evaluated before cosmetic surgery. You would usually need a current breast exam and appropriate imaging, such as ultrasound or mammogram depending on your age and findings, and any suspicious, enlarging, painful, or unclear lesion should be cleared by a breast specialist before implants or fat grafting are placed. The bigger issue may be medical fitness for anesthesia. Anemia should be investigated and corrected as much as possible before elective surgery, and chronic low blood pressure should be reviewed by your surgeon and anesthesiologist. Hybrid augmentation can involve implants plus liposuction and fat transfer, so it may be longer than a simple implant surgery and can carry more fluid-shift, bruising, and blood-loss considerations. If your hemoglobin is low, symptoms are significant, or the cause of anemia is unknown, surgery should be postponed until you are medically optimized.
