Is 450CC too big?

350 to 450 would be fine depending on your perceptions of what is too large. Only you can decide on that. But the range is certainly legitimate.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

Pay attention to the weight of the implant. Take into account the presence of a side boob. We would love to discuss your options with you. It is really difficult to answer your question as there is a lot that goes into sizing our patients. We perform measurements, evaluate the skin envelope elasticity, look at photos, look at diagrams and finally use the Allergan sizing system to size the patient in the office. We obviously listen and discuss exactly what the patient wants and doesn’t want so that we can deliver the expected results.
Your best path to determine what size would work and how big you can be would be to seek out your plastic surgeon again to discuss your options. Make certain the surgeon you are choosing has great deal of experience in breast implant surgeries and is a board certified plastic surgeon.

After carefully measuring the breast, we spend a lot of time of the office helping you find the size that will be right for you and your breast width. We never choose the implant size for you. Given your height and weight, 450cc might be to big for your frame. I would opt going with a size closer to 350cc. 350cc is the most commonly used implant size (in our office) and it can usually give the patients the upper pole fullness and all around breast fullness they are wanting to achieve.

After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. When it comes to implants they come in many shapes and sizes , this though great in terms of having many option might seem a little confusing for patients trying to make a choice. The choice is usually based on the physical exam , and measurements made during that physical exam such as breast width ( you don't want to end up with an implant that is wider than your chest as that won't look appealing) , and what your goals are (if it's more projection then high profile implants can help with that , if it's upper pole fullness then lower profile implants by virtue of being wider can reach the upper pole more and provide you with that fullness), how much breast tissue you already have, and finally to add another dimension, since you will be having a breast lift at the same time depending on how much skin is going to be excised etc , going too big can put tension on the skin/nipples and incisions and might increase the chances of having complications.
that being said a common regret a lot of patients have usually is not going bigger so it's a delicate balance and a good discussion to have with your surgeon who performed the exam and is aware of your needs and limitations

It's difficult to give you a specific recommendation without examining you or seeing photos. However based on your petite frame the 450cc HP may overpower you and make you appear top heavy. I encourage you to speak more with your surgeon about your desired look and get her/his guidance.

For most women your size, the 450 cc implants are too large and heavy and will look more like balls than breasts. Please consider going down in size so you can enjoy how they feel and look. Plus, a smaller size will look good on you for many years.
