Your wound is not as pristine as I would like to see at this time. I would text these pictures  to your surgeon in order to update them on your progress. Scabbing at 4 weeks postop suggests some delayed healing underneath the incision. I would think your surgeon should want to assess this.

It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, your incisions are not healing ideally. If you smoke, please stop. You should have some ointment on the scabs to get them to soft and help them separate from the skin. They should go on to heal with ok results. Also send these pictures to your PS and have the PS tell you if you should be seen sooner.I hope you found this helpful. Have a great day.

Hi, chloechloe1988.  Based on your photos, you do not seem to have infection although there is some inflammation around the incisions.  It seems like you had a small wound dehiscence (separation) that is healing with scab.  Please keep both incisions clean and dry and keep a close eye on them.  Follow your with your plastic surgeon closely.  Best regards.

is what you appear to have.  If the wounds were draining and much larger, it would be more concerning.  Good wound care should help with allowing them to heal and you should always keep your surgeon informed of your progress or concerns rather than depend on sites such as  this for reassurances.

Thank you for the question and the photos.  Your incision seems intact and without any overt signs of infection.  There is some scabbing and inflammation but not entirely uncommon especially if the incision was stretched out during the augmentation process.  Overall, I don't think there is anything specific to worry about.  It is hard to know how you will eventually heal and how your incision will look but time will tell.  All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
