Will minoxidil have a negative effect on my recent FUE beard transplant?

I'm on day 3 after my FUE for my beard area. I'm thinking about starting a minoxidil routine on the face to encourage new growth on top of the new grafts. Will this have a negative impact?

Minoxidil can sometimes cause skin irritation.  It is not generally recommended after surgery but some doctors do recommend it.  If you have issues, you should contact your doctor.

You might give it a try, see what happens, I can't imagine it would harm the growth.  Dr Rassman did a study which concluded there wasn't any benefit,  so please check with you surgeon for clearance because there isn't other great evidence either way.  Good question.John Frank, MDNew YorkOhio

There are no studies that show Using minoxidil after hair transplant  effects the rate of hair growth specially in the beard area.

Minoxidil  has no effect on hair transplants. I did a study many years ago to determine the effect by putting minoxidil on one side of a transplanted head and not on the other. I followed the patients for a year. There was not difference between the two sides after a year
