Got a beard transplant 8 months ago, the swelling I have is not that much but when I smile I still see my cheeks too big, is it gonna go away? (I have called my clinic in spain and they have closed so I don't have any option on visiting my doctor) thanks

Answer: Swelling is not normal after eight month post surgery. If this is happening, you need to see your doctor or see another doctor.
If you believe the absence of your beard hair is NOT an genetic issue, then you may want to see a doctor for an examination. Because facial hair (beard hair) is a genetic trait. Just because your father and brother has a full beard does not mean you will have a full beard.
Most definitely after 3 months post operatively, it is safe to apply beard oil without reservation. This type of lubricant can improve the beard's appearance drammatically.
