I want a bbl but have a mild form of hidradentis supperativa which causes me to get ingrown hairs/boils can I still get surgery?

Depending on the location of your hidradenitis, you should be able to have liposuction with a fat transfer. You should consult with a surgeon to have the hidradenitis evaluated; usually this condition affects the armpit and groin area- which are not typically liposuctioned.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Hi and great question.I appreciate the time you are spending researching the procedure.As long as you do not have an active case of hidradenitis, you should be able to have the procedure.  You do not want to have liposuction and/or fat grafting during an active case of hidradenitis in the areas you are treating (Abdomen, flanks, thighs, back, butt).  I hope that helps.  Best of luck!Matthew J Nykiel MD#TopRealSelfDoctor
