It's a speculative kind of question I know, but I'm curious what different doctors might think. All opinions and guesswork appreciated!
Answer: Maybe Based on past trends, I don't believe it will change much in the near future. You will always be able to find low cost hair transplants, but the doctors that are in high demand with consistently great results will always tend to charge more than the rest. You pay for what you get.Cost will always be a factor, but your hair transplant results are for life. A bad hair transplant is like herpes. It's for life. The only other advice I can give you is to do your research. Buyer beware is very applicable in this case.

Answer: Hair Transplant Cost Hair Transplant Cost have been decreasing in the last few decades as the quality of transplanted hair have been improved. I won't be surprise if the cost comes even lower, based on the kind of technology that will be available in the future. At this point, hair transplant remains a time consuming and detailed oriented procedure that requires skillful personnel to perform. This keep it expensive compare to some other skin cosmetic procedures.

Answer: Will Costs come down for FUE and Strip surgery? This may happen as more and more doctors enter the business. The issue is always supply and demand that determines price. The new doctors will not have the skilled surgical teams and there will be a learning curve and they will need practice so I would not jump to less experienced doctors. Experience and predictable results are critical. I have written about horror stories in this field with two examples below in the web reference. The key to predictable results and minimal complications comes from an experienced team. I have even heard of a local death not far from my office from an inexperienced doctor.

Answer: Hair transplant cost Determining the cost of your hair transplant procedure depends on the degree of hair loss. There are many factors that effect the cost. Your donor hair has to be examined to determine the amount of quality donor hair that can be safely harvested. The donor availability and the degree of hair loss help establish the surgery session size and the actual price range. Most hair restoration practices charge an average price per graft for the harvested donor hair per session. That average price per graft is impacted by the type of procedure you choose to have, whether it is FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) Strip, or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). In addition, there are clinics that use just medical assistant to perform the whole procedure and doctor is not involved. This will not only effect the outcome of the procedure, but also the cost. All these factors are combined to determine the actual cost for your surgical hair restoration. Now, more than ever before, surgical hair restoration is affordable. Typical procedures at our clinic range from $3,500 to $10,000, depending on the number of grafts and the technique used to harvest the grafts. To help you plan financially, we have different seasonal discounts available. While cost may be a driving factor in your decision, you have to make sure you are getting quality care for your money spent. I am involved from the beginning of the process including the consult to the end of the procedure as oppose to a consultant or a technician. You will get the best quality hair transplant from an experienced hair transplant specialist with the most competitive price. However, if the cost is the only factor, whatever you pay for a bad hair transplant is way too much.
