Vaginoplasty results will be protected by a cesarean and they won't be ruined by the pregnancy. There are only 2 reasons to wait until after the cesarean: (1) you can't find a doc who is willing to do the cesarean for this purpose, (2) you're scared and don't believe that your vaginoplasty won't be ruined by the pregnancy. Both reasons are valid. Take your pick.

Thank you for the question. If you are planing for any future pregnancy and natural birth, then ai would definitely recommend you wait for after finishing your family plans. Vaginoplasty will help you to regain your pelvic floor support but it will be useless if you go for a vaginal birth. If you are still keen to get Vaginoplasty regardless, then you need to know that preserving the results would be possible only if you chose to go with an elective Caesarean section. This is obviously would be your personal choice.

Great question! If you are considering vaginoplasty I would recommend waiting until you are done having children regardless of your route of delivery if you can. While vaginal childbirth clearly does more damage to the vaginal tissues and surrounding structures, pregnancy in general can can affect them somewhat with the hormonal changes and pressure and we can never know for sure what will happen at the time of delivery. What if you go into labor and end up having a vaginal delivery for instance? Given you have already had a vaginal birth and you are considering vaginoplasty you may also consider another vaginal delivery as the damage is already done so to speak unless you had a 4th degree tear (into the rectum) or a shoulder dystocia where the baby was at risk of not being able to be delivered and was stuck, you can avoid two surgeries and the risks associated. Of course, nothing is risk free including vaginal birth and no one knows the future so there is no black and white answer. Best of luck either way!

Hi Kate, this is a great question. It sounds like you may have some anterior prolapse and possibly leakage issues since you are concerned you may need anterior wall repair in addition to vaginoplasty. Pregnancy alone will cause further relaxation of pelvic tone throughout even if you don't end up having another vaginal delivery (honestly though you can never predict what will happen at delivery, especially if you go into fast labor, and you may end up with another vaginal delivery even if you don't want to). For this reason and to optimize your repair results I would recommend waiting until after your last pregnancy for the surgical correction.
