On the right side I feel like it’s more puffy and bruised is this okay or am I botched .

Yes, this can be typical. Swelling and/or bruising can last 1-2 weeks after lip injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling, tenderness, and bruising are all normal after the procedure.  Early swelling and bruising can often affect symmetry after the procedure, so it is important to be patient and allow the result to mature before making any assessment.  Your physician can give you advice on management, and they may recommend arnica, bromelain, massage, or cold compresses.  Make certain you have a follow up appointment scheduled so that you can assess the results together and consider any refinements that may be necessary.

Thank you for your question and picture. The area that is more swollen has a bruise which is contributing to the swelling. It can take up to two weeks for the swelling and bruising to subside. If you are experiencing any other symptoms please reach out to your physician. Otherwise, this is very common for the stage your in, and should subside within a few days. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Due to the thin nature of the lip tissues it is not uncommon for them to develop soft tissue swelling and some bruising.  Rest assured that this will improve over the next 7-10 days to leave you with a better idea as to your long-term results.  To help speed the process, sleep with your head elevated, try antiinflammatories, and arnica/bromelain supplements.  Hope this helps.

Yes, this can be typical. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question. At 4 days post-treatment it is common to have some bruising and swelling which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the lips to help reduce swelling. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s as before and after treatment, as they tend to thin the blood and increase bruising and swelling. If you have any concerns please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!

Swelling, tenderness, and bruising are all normal after filler injection.  It takes about 2 weeks for all of that to resolve and to start being able to see how the filler truly looks.  Give it a little more time to heal.  If you are unhappy at that point see your injector to discuss correcting the filler. I always tell my patients to not love their filler injections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It can last 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may be applied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best done with a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area but gentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler material itself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as well to help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last 1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks until the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.
