Hollowness under the eyes is commonly treated with fillers. Fillers can be injected into the outer corners of the eyes and directly under your eyes, to correct hollowness. This procedure is very common, fast and with minimal side effects. You may experience some swelling, tenderness and possibly bruising, however, these symptoms resolve within 7-10 days

I have treated countless patients for undereye hollows safely and successfully. The area is delicate, so you definitely want an injector who is highly trained and experienced such as a dermatologist. Expect a couple days of swelling, and there is a potential for bruising for about 1 week (as there is with any needle poke). I like restylane, restylane fine lines, and teosyal redensity-II in this area for optimal results and safety. The pain level is no greater than other areas of the face, typically about a 2-3 out of 10.

Yes, the undereye hollows and tear troughs could be treated with a hyaluronic acid based filler such as Restylane or Belotero. I prefer Restylane and inject it into the medial tear trough using a microcannula. I also inject to the lateral tear trough using a needle. You can expect a nice correction. Good luck!
