Would Botox and filler help my forehead? I have acne scarring. (Photo)

Thank you for submitting a photo with your question.  Yes, Botox will help with you forehead wrinkling.  Its best to consult and receive injections by a properly trained board certified dermatologist.  Treating your acne scarring can be approached by different options.  One option is microneedling with PRP in combination with a TCA peel. Also different laser treatments are an option.  Schedule a consult with a dermatologist in your area and move forward to improve your complexion.  

Thank you claudia0705 for your question. Looking at the picture you have submitted I do believe you would be a great candidate for Botox.  It would help reduce the lines on the forehead not improving acne scaring. I would recommend a consult with a Board Certified experienced injector.

A combination approach will give the most improvement. These types of scars need a combination of lasers, microneedling/prp, Cosmelan, Botox, subcision and fillers. It will take a series of treatments and will need some treatments to maintain. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Botox will definitely help your wrinkles , but not the acne scars. For the scars, combination treatment including, subcision, PRP plus microneedling, RF plasma ablative treatment will definitely help, Laser resurfacing is another option.

Botox would help improve the horizontal lines in your forehead.  The acne scars would not change with Botox alone.  Fillers injected beneath the scars after subcising the scar will usually help some but the best treatment for the scars will be skin resurfacing.

BOTOX can typically yield excellent results when it comes to temporarily relaxing and smoothing away forehead lines like those shown in your photo. For acne scars, dermal fillers are often an effective solution, although you might also ask your provider about professional skincare products or other nonsurgical treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling and laser treatments to help with acne scarring.
 

A neuromodulator like Botox or Dysport would certainly help improve the appearance of the horizontal forehead lines. There is some research suggesting that Botox/Dysport improves the appearance and health of the skin independent of wrinkle reduction. 

Thank you for your question.  Botox will improve the horizontal lines by reducing the muscle activity and displaying a visibly smooth appearance on the forehead.  Acne scars may appear less visible after the botox injections but botox isn't a primary treatment for acne scarring. Fillers also assist in facial wrinkles and a  lost of facial fullness.

Based on your picture HA filler combined with Botox can dramatically improve the area. Consultation with a plastic surgeon is advisable.
