If you mix 50 units into the syringe with saline then the syringe holds 50 units no matter what size the syringe. I suggest that you visit a Botox expert and not attempt to do this yourself. Beware of counterfeit material!
Im unsure as to the point of this question. Are you checking up on the injector who did your botox or are you thinking of mixing your own. The question as stated doesn't make sense -- 1.5cc of saline mixed with 50u of botox pulled into a 5cc syringe means that all 1.5 cc with the 50 u is now in the 5cc syringe. Its like asking what color was George Washington's white horse or who is buried in Grant's tomb. Im not making light of your question, Im just concerned. If you are trying to check up on your injector, please give him or her a call and make a follow up appointment to review what was done. A reputable physician will have documented the dilution, lot number and number of units used. If you are considering mixing your own, please do not do it. Botox is not a cosmetic. It is a drug that should only be administered by physicians who understand anatomy and drug chemistry. Please find a board certified cosmetic dermatologist if you don't already have one.I hope this answer was helpful. Best of luck
If 50units of BOTOX are diluted in 1.5cc of saline and then drawn up in a 5cc syringe, then all 50units are in that syringe.I would encourage you to refer this patient on to an experienced and confident surgeon.
If you dilute the 50u of Botox with 1.5cc of saline and place all of that (1.5cc) into a 5cc syringe, there's 50u of Botox there. Be sure to see an experienced, Board Certified injector for best results and to avoid unwanted side effects.Sincerely,Dr. Benjamin J. Cousins MD Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Miami/Miami Beach,FL
Your question is really complicated as the dilution that you are asking about makes no sense and in real life would give you a droop. Please consult an expert in Botox for the correct amounts and dilutions. Best, Dr. Green
This question suggests that you are injecting yourself or you are having someone who is not familiar with Botox injecting you. If this is the case I would strongly suggest you reconsider who is going to inject you. That being said, if you have 50 units of Botox in 1.5cc of saline then no matter what size the syringe is you will still have 50 units in 1.5cc of saline. If you are mixing multiple 50unit vials of Botox with 1.5cc of saline each and then filling a 5 cc syringe then you would have 183 units of Botox in 5cc.
If you dilute 50 units with saline and place all of that in a syringe, then you still have 50 units...
there would be 50 units in the syringe no matter what size the syringe. do not use Botox on your own as you dont know what your are doing nor do you really know what you have bought
Please see a licensed and trained professional for treatment with Botox. Botox can be dangerous in the hands of an untrained individual and can lead to serious complications. Do not attempt to inject Botox at home or anywhere other than a medical/cosmetic facility.
This is kind of funny. There are 50 units in the syringe, regardless of how much saline you add to it.Unless you meant that you filled the syringe up to 5cc with a 50 U:1.5 cc concentration, then the total is 167, according to my Old School Math :PLisa Vuich, MD
