Thank you for your pictures and diagram.  If the lipoma was removed 4 months ago, but your symptoms are just beginning to develop now, it is unlikely that the removal is playing an active role.  I would start with a visit to your general medicine physician for an examination.  If they feel that you would better be evaluated by a specialist they can make the appropriate referral at that time.  Hope this helps.

four months after lipoma removal from the back should not give symptoms of numbness in the upper extremity.You should be evaluated by a neurologist.Then why do you have the specimen in a plastic bag? the specimen should be in the pathology department for full examination?? This is not proper medical care or proper handling of the surgical specimen.

No, it is not normal to feel this 4 months after the lipoma's been removed.  You should contact your surgeon, arrange to be seen in person and then possibly be seen by one or more specialists in other fields, such as a neurologist.It is common to have symptoms like these early on, but they should typically diminish over the first few months and, if anything, be minimized or even gone by 4 months.You should contact your PS to try to figure out what's going on.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf500
