I have typical Asian flat face features I want to fix over time. What's the best way to start? (Photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your
photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can
accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your
lower nose. Based on your photograph,
you may also benefit from malar enhancement.  This can be done in one
of two ways.  Voluma is an injectable filler which can be injected into
the malar region as a temporary filler.  Malar implants can be placed as a
permanent way to gain volume in the cheek.  I always use medpor implants
with screw fixation.  Silicone malar implants tend to have
a high rate of malrotation over time.   Make
sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients
who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer
animation system. The most important aspect is to find a
surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a
qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Thank you for your photos. Asian facial features can be changed both surgically and non-surgically. A non surgical rhinoplasty performed with filler will help blend the angles of your nose to make the lines appear more smooth and to the proportion which you find more appealing.  This can be performed with a hyaluronic acid filler such as VOLUMA which can also be reversed with a hyaluronidase injection in case you do not like the look. A surgical rhinoplasty can be performed if you like the changes and want something permanent. The same goes for the face contouring. Fillers can be used or facial implants can be surgically implanted. Since you are starting out, I would recommend non-permanent fillers for now to see if you like the changes. For the best treatment options, it is important to visit an expert for an in-person examination.

Thank you for your question and photos. I understand your concerns and I think your requests are reasonable. There are a variety of options. Nose can be addressed with surgery or fillers. Other aspects of the face like cheeks and jaw can also be addressed with fillers. Consult a surgeon with expertise in surgical and non surgical treatments so you can get a detailed opinion and a plan. Best wishes

 A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish making some changes to the nose is producing the boldest nasal tip and building up the bridge line and narrowing the nostrils. Fillers performed in the office setting offer a way to temporarily build up flat cheeks. Consider  surgical cheek implants for permanent solution. For many examples of surgical cheek implants, please see link and the video below

Hi,There are no non-surgical ways to make the nose smaller. Typically, fillers are used to alter the nasal bridge - in patients with a low bridge, you can build it up and it can give a lift to the tip with some added projection. You do have a flat midface and that can be improved with filler to the cheeks. Dear Isly, I would suggest starting with some consultations with surgeons who specialize in facial contouring and rhinoplasty. You appear to have a slightly weak chin, fullness in the lower cheek area, some flatness in the upper cheekbone area and could use some refinement to your nose. You may be a candidate for rhinoplasty, chin augmentation with sub-mental liposuction, and partial buccal fat pad removal with fillers to the cheeks. I would suggest having imaging performed to show you the proposed results of these procedures and review the surgeons before and after photographs of patients similar to yourself to ensure expertise and natural looking results.
