There is a technique where a suture can be tied and progressively tightened around a keloid. This cuts off the blood supply and the keloid typically "falls off." However, this is not without risk and performing this at home is a bad idea. Further, there are several techniques that can immediately remove a keloid as opposed to performing this type of staged procedure.

There are likely many options for keloids. Our office specializes in keloid treatment and advises against natural therapies that may worsen the condition. A visit with an experienced surgeon may be a better option.
