Can I use rogaine solution for 6 months only with PRP?

Hi, I'm 32 y/o male, my hair started thinning, I'm planning to go for 6-month PRP therapy (1 session every month) + maintainance session twice a year. I read online that PRP gives best results when combined with rogaine, but I don't want to use rogaine forever, so, my question is: can I use rogaine for 6 months only along with PRP, then stop rogaine and continue with PRP maintainance sessions only? or using rogaine is useless in this case? please advise. thank you

In my opinion, you need to understand that Rogaine and PRP work by different methods. PRP utilizes growth factors and cytokines and Rogaine opens potassium ATP channels. This dual combination therapy is excellent. If one stops either treatment, you will return to your Baseline.. if you have grown hair, eventually it will disappear without continued therapy.

Do not use them both at the same day. On the prp day, only get prp and rest of the days you can use rogaine.

Rogaine and PRP can be combined.  IT is best to hold usage of Rogaine for 24 hours after PRP treatments, and then to resume.Other additions to PRP may include laser biostimulation, and Propecia (oral medication).  It is safe to continue these treatments in conjunction with PRP treatments.

Rogaine will help with your results, but if you stop it after it months you will lose the benefits of having used Rogaine.  I would suggest you use it during the PRP and then continue it until you're tired of having hair.

To get the best long term results you really should not do PRP for just 6 months because as soon as your stop it, the benefits from it will go away. For this reason we prefer to do them on a membership plan rather than a la carte injections or packages. Hello and thank you for your question. PRP is a great option to help with the density of hair and promote hair growth and doing a combination treatment with Rogaine will give you optimal results. However, once you begin the Rogaine I would not recommend discontinuing the product. The PRP can be scaled back from monthly (after 4-6 treatments) to bi-annually, but the Rogaine should be used as directed once you start.  If you wanted to start with the PRP alone you should see results then once you scale back to the bi-annual treatments you could then discuss if you feel the PRP alone was enough for you or if you want to start the Rogaine at that time.
