PRP costs vary Nationwide. In New Jersey, we charge $600 for a 22 ml vial per session. Find a PRP expert. Ask to see photos.PRP hair md.com
Treatment protocols vary depending on how many treatments you need, so the price will vary too. Most people require 3-4 treatments spaced one month apart, with maintenance treatments required afterwards to maintain the results .
This will vary greatly between practice and protocols. I personally want to encourage my patients who come for PRP to continue with it for the long term and not use it as a one off treatment because it will not provide long term benefit in the latter case. Just like laser therapy or Finasteride, if you stop PRP it will stop working. For this reason in my centers we do not charge by injections, but rather as a monthly membership which can be canceled anytime. We have an initiation fee which we waive for our surgical post ops, and a monthly fee of $399 which can be canceled at any time if the patient chooses to consider an alternate maintenance strategy. We also monitor and track miniaturization for our members with high mag photos every few months to check the effectiveness of the treatment. Good luck to you! Best, Dr. Rome
Dr. Baubac Hayatdavoudi has been offering Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment in combination with a Hair Restoration procedure to hair loss patients for a few years now in our Alvi Armani Beverly Hills Clinic.A patient will have a PRP Session along with the FUE Hair Restoration procedure on the same day. What we have been seeing with these patients who receive both treatments are:Faster healing times post-opMuch less shedding of the transplanted grafts after the procedureHigher retention of grafts post procedureQuicker regrowth of graftsWe have found that patients who have PRP with their FUE procedure not only see better yield, but also faster healing post op and earlier growth. The patients follicles come out of the resting phase earlier and their results come in faster.
It is well known that 4-5% of men taking propecia will develop sexual side effects including low libido. This effect should resolve itself in a few months after discontinuation. I do not prescribe this drug to young men for this reason. IMO it is not an acceptable side effect.
I advise re-evaluation by a board-certified dermatologist to rule out another cause for the worsening bald patches on the back of your scalp. It's possible that you are now experiencing alopecia areata, a distinct type of hair loss that is auoimmune in nature and usually diagnosed by...
So prices vary depending who you go to, board certifications, experience, which state you go to. The most important thing to understand about prp combination treatment will achieve the best results vs just prp alone, prp + minoxdil +/- low light laser therapy ,+/- finasteride or spironolactone...
