I just went through PRP session which the nurse injected me hundreds of time with microneedle gun to deliver plasma. The depth of needle was 2 mm. This procedure did cause bleeding as the needle was poking through. Will this damage my follicles??? Really concerned.

Answer: Wont hurt but will it help? As others mentioned here, for PRP to be effective it really needs to be injected at 4-6mm and the deepest guns only go to about 2mm. I do a quick nerve block so the injections thereafter are not felt. I do like microneedling but use it on alternating months for my clinical haircare members between PRP sessions. Microneedling works to increase the blood flow, while PRP works by it's it growth factors. I don't see any benefit to doing them at the same time. We offer a cost effective long term clinical maintenance membership with monthly treatments which really give great results.

Answer: PRP treatment with a gun I do not use the gun, but I do prefer about 4 mm of depth, just under the first layer of skin for a preferred injection depth. I also recommend high density PRP (4-6x platelet concentration) with additional growth factors for maximum effect. Unless you have experienced inflammation your hair transplant should be fine.
