Tummy tuck 360 lipo, still pain and tightness along with bulged/swollen abdominal, appreciate information (Photos)

Question

Last November 2023, I had 360 lipo and abdominal plastic surgery. since then I was hoping the pain would subside and the bulge/swelling will go down. I wore compression as asked 4 weeks only he said but there was still lots of swelling so i still wore at nights. The pain comes from across my back towards right side all the way to the incision. Tightness pulling dull pain as if the muscles are moving. I tried lymphatic, massages, self massages, vits&minerals. I will appreciate any information.

I'm sorry you are continuing to have issues after your tummy tuck and liposuction.  The majority of swelling should have resolved by six months post op. It does appear that your results could be improved with a revision.  Visit with your surgeon or another board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation.

I would go to your primary care physician and ask to be checked for food allergies. this can be a cause of abdominal swelling and surgery will not change it. It can also can cause pain.

Hi, thanks for your question.  it is difficult without looking at pre surgical pictures.  there is still a convex contour and this may be due to muscle weakness which can be difficult to correct and also simply having very soft/slack skin and tissues or maybe a bit of both.  For these reasons it is not always possible to get a tummy that is as tight and flat as patient or surgeon might ideally like to achieve.  I am sure it is the case that the appearance of your tum will be drmatically better than it was before surgery.
