I am 30 years old, active, and conscious of my eating habits. I have not gained any weight since my tummy tuck in January 2023. I am uncomfortable with my distended lower abdomen. It is hard to the touch and does not come and go so I do not believe it is bloat. Does this appear to be failed muscle repair? Also, I had a donut lift / 450cc Natrelle silicone implants. Do my breasts appear misshapen? Or still healing? (Surgery march 2024)

Answer: Repair with mesh may be necessary ... Hello; The tightening of the muscles is not solely related to the plication of the abdominal muscles. Sometimes, the lower abdominal muscles can be very thin and weak in structure. Even if plication is done, swelling may still appear in the lower abdomen. If this is the case, repair with mesh may be necessary. The appearance of your breasts will become clear six months after the surgery. Since one of your arms is down and the other is up, it is not possible to evaluate the breasts clearly with these photos. To comment on the breasts, the arms should be down and at the waist in the photos.

Answer: Results It does not appear from your photos that your muscle repair has failed, but you may benefit from some touch up liposuction to enhance your results. A photo is needed of your breasts with both arms resting at your sides naturally to properly give an opinion. At six months post op you should be seeing your final results. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: Post tummy tuck and breast augmentation/mastopexies From your pictures, the abdomen appears to be healing well. The excess fat of your lower abdomen may be from bringing this area down at the time of your abdominoplasty. Muscle repair can also contribute to a better result. The firmness may be due to scarring and fibrosis There is some asymmetry to your breasts that may need to be corrected. The breasts are still healing and will take up to a year to heal. I would see your surgeon and discuss these issues.
