How long should I wait to get a tummy tuck procedure following a myomectomy?

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. I would recommend that you wait a minimum of 6 months so that any associated swelling and scarring from your myomectomy is allowed to improve.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

hi dear, once you have been put under anesthesia is recommended to wait for 5 to 6 months between procedures, this will allow your body to recover properly before having another procedure.

After an abdominal surgery, I would recommend 3 months to have a TT. You want your body to be able to heal and be back to baseline before going through another very large surgery.

If you have done myomectomy with a laparotomy (abdominal incision) then it is best to let the uterus muscles heal, the fat and skin tissues heal. It must be settled to have a tummy tuck.

I don’t think there is any need to wait any significant amount of time before having a tummy tuck.

I’m assuming your procedure was done laparoscopically.

That should not interfere with having a tummy tuck.

If you’ve chosen a surgeon then ask him or her with a recommendations are. If you have not selected a provider then I suggest having multiple in person consultations.

In the end the only opinion that matters is the person doing your procedure.
