Tummy tuck bending over and belly button stitches popped open. Advice?

I had a tt 2 weeks ago. 3 days ago on my check up the dr told me that my belly button stitches had popped open because i had not been walking bent over and i had been moving too much. now i'm walking bent over terrified that i'll ruin my new stitches, but my back is killing me! any advice?

HiAt 2 weeks post Tummy tuck most pts are walking upright with little discomfort. It is not your fault that stitches have popped at this stage. It may be that dissolving stitches were used and there was not enough deep stitching done to take the strain. Best thing is to explain you are not happy to your PS and see if the wound just requires dressings to heal or if restitching it is indicated.Best wishes

Belly button sutures popping open is highly unusual.  At 2 weeks post op, you should not be walking bent over  Follow up with your Plastic Surgeon and express your concerns.  Best wishes!
