I'm 5'3 & I currently weigh 165 I'm going to get down to 125lbs in a few months. Going to loose 40 pounds total. Currently I have high profile 650cc implants, I got them done a year ago. Will I have to downsize my current implants and do a lift? Or can I get away with current implants bc the weight loss would also reduce the overall size of breasts? Currently I have mixed feelings about my implants some days I wake up & feel they are way too big for my frame & some days I'm happy how they are.
Answer: Implants At 5'3", 650 cc implants are too large and heavy for your frame and tissue. However, loose all the weight you want to first, and then access your breasts.

Answer: Will I have to downsize my breast implants after losing weight? Hello @johndoe133 thank you for your question. When you want a reduction in the volume of your body contour, you will lose weight and reduce measurements, the volume of the breast will also decrease because the breast is composed of fat and gland. However if you have mixed feelings about the size of your breast wait till you go down in measurements to see if you loose a great amount of fat in the breast area. Best wishes!

Answer: Lift and implant exchange or removal will be necessary 650 cc implants are quite large and weigh 1 1/2 lbs each. Losing 40 lbs will change a lot of the fat content in your breasts. There are 2 parts of the breast: breast fat and breast parenchyma. The parenchyma will stay the same but the fat content will drop. So your breasts should decrease in size. Also, your skin envelope may be laxed and hang. It is most likely that you will need a lift and implant exchange or removal. The lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Weight loss Dear johndoe133, congratulations on your decision to lose weight. There is a risk that you will lose some breast volume and skin elasticity once you lose weight. I would suggest you to wait to see the final results of your weight loss. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
