I went for a tummy tuck consult today. It will require Lipo on flanks, tummy, and outer thighs. I don't do well with narcotic pain meds and am afraid of pain control. Can you please tell me what to expect? I am very scared.

If my patients complain of pain, they say that it is the tightness and soreness from the muscle tightening. Many of them say that it feels like they had a C section all over again. With that said, every person has a different pain tolerance so it is difficult to say what you would experience. Most surgeons use various types of pain regimens to reduce the pain, so I think that there are many ways to control the pain.
