Has my tummy tuck failed and was too much skin removed? My doctor says he did nothing wrong (Photo)

Hello. Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. However, pre op images are needed to properly address your concerns. 

You have severe scar widening - this is due to the tension that the surface of the skin was placed under when the wound was closed. You also don't appear to have an flattened abdominal contour, which is an expected cosmetic outcome from an otherwise thin patient undergoing a tummy tuck procedure.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Something isn't right unless you are pushing your belly out in that photos. Without the whole story it is hard to say but I suggest you get a second opinion form a board certified plastic surgeon.

but before commenting, the whole story is needed.  What were your pre-op photos like and will they corroborate your story?  Or show something different?  Knowing what was discussed including the location of the scar, belly button options, and whether muscle work was to be done is also important to help determine what kind of judgment was displayed by your surgeon.  And then knowing exactly what happened in surgery (op report - you will need to get this if you seek a second opinion) would help decide if the proper procedure was done.  But in the end, I personally would expect a better outcome from a tummy tuck in my own patient that from what you show in your photos.

I can appreciate your concerns.  Though you are not at your final result if your muscle wall was repaired it should appear flatter.  The long scar can widen for some people.  This can often be improved with revision but you will want to wait until you are at least 9 months from surgery.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  If you are not satisfied with the results of your conversation you may wish to seek the opinion of another board certified plastic surgeon near you.
