What causes hardness around umbilicus? 10 months post-op TT

Question

10mpo tummy tuck. I have firm feeling on left side. My pcp sent me to a local general surgeon for follow up. He ordered a ultrasound of abdomen that only showed thickness of muscle on that side. What causes this? I'm thinking I just had a poor choice with my ps. This firmness is causing bulge which was thought to be a hernia. Can someone help??? Any advice is welcomed.

The differential diagnosis for such a peri-umbilical lump could be an unrepaired umbilical and ventral hernia, fat necrosis, hematoma or uneven fat removal. See a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation.
