I am 16 days post op from a Tummy Tuck but feel like I'm back to day 4. Any suggestions?

Hello, if you had an episode of straining caused by vomiting then noticed the abdomen get quite swollen afterward, I would recommend contacting your plastic surgeon for an assessment.  They will be able to determine if everything is still healing properly.

Losing ground can be discouraging. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon to make sure you're healing as expected.it's not unusual to have ups and downs, but sometimes worsening pain can be a concern. "Overdoing it" when you start to feel better is not an uncommon tale.  The 24 hours of vomiting certainly did not help.  You have done enough "damage" to cause all this swelling, but it is not likely that you have done  "damage" that will require surgical correction.  But only a direct examination by your plastic surgeon can determine that and only then can any recommendations be made in bterms of management.  So see your surgeon.  Good luck.

It is possible you are collecting fluid or some other issue.  Be sure to follow up this week with your board certified plastic surgeon who performed your surgery to evaluate your healing.
