I met Dr. Giuffrida On my pre-op appointment He came in Very welcoming and professional I stood up so he could see my body and what we were going to do, then he says "How's your budget? Would you include your chest?" to which I replied I would totally do it, but i don't have anymore money (which was completely true) and we moved forward, then he asked me "do you have any questions for me?" and I had a million but at that moment I blanked out and said "I don't know! What do people ask?!" the he explained everything to me when would I be able to go back to work, to exercise, what I should eat, what to expect from my surgery etc, etc. So professional. We were done, I left home with instructions on paper and the the day of the surgery came. I followed every single instruction they gave me and showed up on time and beyond excited.Then Dr. Giuffrida came in draw everything he needed to draw on my body and then says "do you mind if i do this too?" (pointing at my breast) to which i replied, "no, go for it" and I remember feeling I was in the bests hands, not because he did my breast too, but because he's so professional it made me feel he was putting his name on my body, so he was gonna do his best (and he did) and that made me feel so sure about everything. No doubt I got the best surgeon in the word. As soon as he was done drawing everything on me Rita got me ready with my meds and cleaned my body. The procedure started and I was conscious the whole time but now I don't remember quite well, it's a blurry memory right now, but what I can say is that Dr. Michael Giuffrida's hands are golden! Such a medical artist, I think I was even singing throughout the procedure lol. Long story short, I passed out twice and ended up in E.R. there's a whole black spot in this story and then I'm fully aware of myself in the emergency room, it was around 9 or 10 pm and Dr. Giuffrida came to check on me to the hospital I was taken to, which I think was the most human /professional thing! As I've been saying he's simply amazing. We laughed a little about the scenario, how I went there to get an amazing body and ended up confused in the emergency room with still an amazing body lol, he even took a picture of me and shared it with the nurses so they knew I was perfect. Then i got home and the following days Dr. Giuffrida checked on me again, everything was/is going great. And i got my one week follow up appointment and let me tellnyoh I got 1000% more than i was expecting, of course I'm still a little swollen, but the body I have, I've never felt so confident in my entire life! Beyond words, I can't even begin to explain how amazing it feels.and how this experience has changed my life in so many ways. I'm proud of taking that decision and even prouder to say Dr. Giuffrida was my surgeon. So if you're considering getting a liposuction, He's definitely your choice. I am a 49 year old and had liposuction done on my belly abdomen and flanks. 3 1/2 liter of fat has been removed by Dr. Giuffrida. He is very professional and answered all my questions. He is outgoing and easy to talk to.The outcome so far is great and as expected. 7 weeks post and just a little bumpiness is left, which should resolve over time. Motivation: Losing weight had never been easy, and once weight was lost, still had a muffin top, continued to battle hips that would not squeeze into jeans without leaving pieces bulging here and there. I knew I wanted to do lipo even though I know the outcome for my body will still leave loose skin. But it's really not bad to how I thought it would be. After my surgery I did regret for not jumping to tummy tuck first, but I was desperate and just started a new job and had a new born. All I cared was looking slimmer during that time. But I do like the result my doctor gave me. He contoured my body and gave me shape. The only thing I'm not happy about is that my left stomach has this extra hang I think can be fixed but the nurse said it would still be uneven after I fix it. I'm not too happy about that hang and hope to get it fixed. I did heal within 3 weeks. Although it took 5 months to finally see the end results.
About a year ago I went through 1 cycle of cool sculpting. It left me with a form of hyperplasia, causing my stomach and waist tissue to toughen and enlarge. Although he was not familiar with the condition he assured me everything would turn out great. He is very attentive and made sure I did not experience any discomfort during the procedure. You are an excellent candidate for liposuction. It appears in the photos you have little to no stretch marks. I would need to confirm this on exam as well as make sure pregnancy did not stretch out your vertical midline: called a diastasis. Having said that, most of my patients want to avoid the significant scarring involved in tummy tucks. I do less and less tummy tucks these days with all the great new technologies available. I am sure you have seen the photos! I use the surgical techniques of hi-def lipo in all my liposuction patients to create the beautiful curves and shadows these techniques provide. It can be done with or without a Vaser. I do both. The added benefit of liposuction is that a tummy tuck can usually always done down the road in time should you choose to have more children or if lipo alone does not provide the expected degree of skin tightening you wanted or expected. Multiple factors effect skin elasticity and retraction after lipo. Good luck! Best.
You should notice a difference right away after your procedure. After a week you should see a difference. Yes, it does take 6 weeks to 3 months for a lot of the skin edema (swelling, lumps and bumps) to resolve but you should see a difference. In your photos I do not see a significant difference. I do mostly hi volume liposuction, hi-def and revisions. The BBR is a challenging area but with expertise and certain techniques you should see a difference. Do not worry, let it heal-at least six months-reassess as additional suctioning can be done.
Hi try a simple test. Look in the mirror and pull up on the redundant skin of your tummy-enough to get a pubic lift. Are your inner thighs getting a lift as well? Usually this occurs. The more experienced your surgeon is at overall contouring the torso and mons pubis all these aspects come into play. Ultimately it depends on how much extra skin you have, your anatomy and laxity in the skin to determine or reasonably predict how much lift you will get of the inner thighs. Best!
