My nose has been an insecurity of mine growing up and it’s crookedness seems to be more noticeable as time passes by . I noticed that the deviation starts from my nasal bones and they appear asymmetric. The nasal bone on the left side has a large bump but the other doesn’t . I’ve had two blows to my nose , one at age 11 and the other at 20 . Can those incidents cause the nose to completely distort? The side where my nose leans feels more clogged and is smaller in nostril size. How can I fix this
Answer: The amount of improvement possible depends on several factors ... Certain kinds of deviations are more predictable to change than others. Sometimes, inspection of the septum inside shows that straightening the inside septum might help a lot with straightening the external nose. Another big factor is what you might want to have done to the appearance of the nose *besides* straightening it. For example, you didn't post 3/4 or profile photos, but if your preference would be to deproject the nose--to bring it back closer to your face--that often gives many more options in the task of straightening the frontal appearance. Also, any remaining asymmetry (and there always is some asymmetry remaining) looks smaller when it sits on a smaller nose. Just some thoughts. Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. For most noses, it's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photo you have a serious crooked nose to the one side and it can cause some breathing problems. For example mouth open sleeping etc. With rhinoplasty surgery you can get rid of this looking and your surgeon will be take your nose to the mid line of your face. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: Why is my nose so warped? Is it possible to completely straighten it? Your prior injuries may have caused this. Every nose is different and unique to that individual. If the appearance of your nose concerns you enough to do something about it, it can be improved with a natural artistically performed rhinoplasty and possible septoplasty. What would be the best option and exact procedure would depend on an examination and discussion about desired outcome. Excellent results can be achieved with either a closed or open technique. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on very limited photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, M.D., FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Rhinoplasty It is quite possible the symmetry was caused by injury. There are many strategies to straighten the crooked nose surgically., however in many cases these strategies are hit or miss. So even with surgery there is the possibility that the asymmetry won’t be completely improved

Answer: Rhinoplasty Correction of previous nasal injuries during rhinoplasty is common to enhance the nose profile including deviation. It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss the surgical procedure and the post op recovery process.
