7 days ago I had shaped, textured silicone 225cc implants placed under the muscle. I have been sleeping on my back, but I am naturally a side sleeper. When is it safe for me to go back to sleeping on my side? Will sleeping on my side cause my implants to shift/move?
Answer: Sleep positions after getting breast implants It's always best to ask your surgeon for his or her protocol. I advise my patients that they don’t have to sleep on their back or sit up all night after breast augmentation surgery. They can sleep any way they want from the night of surgery on, including on their stomach, if they are comfortable enough. They won’t pop or shift their implants by sleeping on them; implants are extremely durable. For more information on this and similar topics, I recommend a plastic surgery Q&A book like "The Scoop On Breasts: A Plastic Surgeon Busts the Myths."

Answer: When can I start sleeping on my side after under the muscle breast augmentation? Thank you for your excellent question. As long as my patients maintain their augmentation in a well-fitting post surgical garment they can sleep on their sides the night of surgery. At 7 days you should be able to but as each surgeon has their own recommendations based on your specific surgery it would be best to reach out to them to ensure you are okay to do so. Hope this helps

Answer: When can I start sleeping on my side after under the muscle breast augmentation? Thank you for your inquiry. The time frame for when a patient can sleep on her side varies from patient to patient. I don't have a specific time frame for my patients as I allow them to sleep in any position that is comfortable for them. In my experience it usually takes 2-3 weeks before women feel comfortable sleeping on their sides. Before this time most will complain of tenderness along the side of the breast they're sleeping on or feel a pulling sensation on the opposite breast. After 3 weeks this sensation usually resolves. I recommend discussing this with your plastic surgeon as we all have our own post procedure protocols.
