Why did the fat transfer to my breasts all drain out?

Sorry to be so blunt and terse, but the answer is: because it was done poorly or shouldn't have been done at all. Fat in the breasts is already controversial, since even done properly, SOME of the transferred fat always dies, leaving scar fibrosis, lumps, mammographic densities, and often microcalcifications that can interfere with detection of breast cancer.Fat grafting works great when harvested atraumatically, transplanted carefully in well-vascularized tiny tunnels, and NOT injected in big blobs of mostly-dead fat. But not in breasts, IMHO.I hope your breasts heal well enough so that you can have the breast implants (please go submuscular for best breast cancer detection via self-exam and mammogram) that you should have spent your money on in the first place. Consider asking your fat grafting surgeon for your money back--anything you get will be a bonus since you can't undo the scar tissue or draining oil cysts. From your description it sounds that the fat has not developed blood supply and does.  The cell membranes break down allowing the oily fatty contents to seep out.  Your body will try to push this fluid out.  Follow closely with your surgeon to make sure that other complications don't develop.  Best of luck. Injected fat usually does not last. It gets absorbed by body or gets converted into scar tissue or drains away as liquid waste after it dies.  That is waht you are discovering.
