Is one eye smaller than the other? (Photo)

Question

So for about a couple months now I have been concerned about one of my eyes. In the photos you can tell one is smaller than the other. When I look in the mirror i notice it as well. Nobody really say any thing about my eyes, I asked my friend to look at my eyes and she says it's not really noticeable but only when you stare in my eyes for a while. I have been to the doctors once about it but they said they were fine I really don't know. Is there anything wrong with my eyes?

Thanks for your question and posting photos. 
One of your upper eyelids may be hanging lower than the other side. It is difficult to tell for sure from the photos. Seeing a plastic surgeon will allow a better exam and to get a diagnosis, if there is one. In addition, the bony structure of your face can be better evaluated for any potential abnormalities.

In general, it is not uncommon to have one eye that appears "smaller" than the other.  Commonly, the eyes themselves are the same size but the bony eye socket may be different, as one example.  Other causes can be ptosis (toe-sis), which is a lowering of the eyelid margin. Many times the eye with ptosis will be seen in photographs as the eye that is closed (or near closed).  Other causes can be hollowness disparities between the two eyes and even eyebrow shape differences can make the eyes appear different in size.
